Connection, a 2024 South Korean television series, is a gripping drama that blends elements of crime and personal intrigue. Synopsis:
The series revolves around Jang Jae-kyung, an esteemed detective with the narcotics team at Anhyeon Police Station. His life takes a dark turn when he is forcibly addicted to drugs. As he battles this personal crisis, he stumbles upon the death of a close friend. This tragedy uncovers hidden layers of a 20-year-old friendship and sets him on a path to unraveling deep-seated connections and conspiracies linked to his past.

Connection is brought to life by the collaborative efforts of director Kim Moon-gyo, known for Trolley (2023), and writer Lee Hyun, who penned Diary of a Prosecutor (2019). The series is a product of Studio S, Soul Pictures, and Good Harvest.
Ji Sung and Jeon Mi-do’s casting in the series marks their first collaboration, with Ji Sung making a return to SBS after Doctor John (2019), and Jeon Mi-do stepping into a leading role on a terrestrial channel for the first time since her acting debut in 2006.
The series was officially announced for SBS TV's lineup in early 2024, with a special teaser debuting on December 29, 2023. The show premiered on May 24, 2024, with episodes airing every Friday and Saturday at 10:00 PM KST. Alongside its SBS broadcast, Connection is available for streaming on Wavve, Coupang Play, Kocowa, and Vidio, expanding its reach to international audiences.
