No Gain No Love (Korean: 손해 보기 싫어서) is a new South Korean television series set to premiere on tvN on August 26, 2024. Airing every Monday and Tuesday at 20:50 (KST), the series will also be available for streaming on TVING in South Korea and on Amazon Prime Video in select regions.

Synopsis

The romantic comedy No Gain No Love centers on Son Hae-young, a woman who values financial stability above all else, and Kim Ji-wook, a man who becomes her husband out of a sense of duty. Son Hae-young is meticulous about balancing the scales in every aspect of her life, including relationships, and even stages a fake wedding to secure a career promotion. Kim Ji-wook, a conscientious convenience store worker, reluctantly agrees to the marriage to avoid causing any harm.

  • Shin Min-a as Son Hae-young: A profit-focused woman who meticulously manages every part of her life, including her relationships.
  • Kim Young-dae as Kim Ji-wook: A principled convenience store employee who takes on the role of Son Hae-young’s husband to prevent any potential harm.

Production

No Gain No Love is crafted by writer Kim Hye-young and directed by Kim Jung-sik. It is produced by Bon Factory and planned by CJ ENM Studios.

Casting Updates

Initially, Lee Jong-won was considered for Kim Ji-wook, but Kim Young-dae eventually secured the role. Shin Min-a was confirmed as the female lead alongside Kim Young-dae.

The series promises a blend of romance and comedy, with a unique twist on relationship dynamics and personal motivations.
