Yoo Jung is rich, handsome, and the heir to Taerang Group, yet his relationships are shallow as he remains unsure whether people are genuinely interested in him or merely his wealth. Hong Seol, who first encounters his manipulative side, finds her life spiraling into chaos. After taking a break from school, she returns on a scholarship meant for Yoo Jung, and he unexpectedly begins showing kindness to her. As their relationship begins, Seol is torn between understanding the true nature of Yoo Jung and the awkwardness of their developing bond, further complicated by his previous schemes and the arrival of Baek In-ho and his sister, In-ha, childhood friends of Jung who have since become estranged.
