Synopsis

Tak Dong-kyung (played by Park Bo-young) is an ordinary woman with an extraordinary burden. She works as an editor at a web novel publishing company, enduring a miserable work environment under a tyrannical boss. Her life takes a sharp turn when she learns that she has been diagnosed with glioblastoma, a form of terminal brain cancer, and that she has only three months to live. On top of this, she discovers that her boyfriend has been hiding the fact that he's married and expecting a child with his wife. Her already complicated life is further compounded by her irresponsible younger brother and an unpleasant encounter with a pervert on the subway.

On the anniversary of her parents’ death, feeling overwhelmed and utterly hopeless, Dong-kyung decides to drink away her sorrow. While on the rooftop of her apartment building, she drunkenly wishes for the world to end, hoping that everything will just cease to exist. To her shock, her wish is heard by Myul Mang (played by Seo In-guk), a being known as the messenger between gods and humans. Myul Mang is a unique entity born from the balance of dark and light, and his very existence brings ruin to the world. His breath causes nations to disappear, his footsteps bring the collapse of the seasons, and his smile can extinguish life itself. Though he has never wished for this power, it is his fate to bring destruction, and he has grown tired of this eternal cycle.

On his birthday, Myul Mang is given the opportunity to grant a human's wish, and, in a moment of frustration with his own cursed existence, he chooses to fulfill Dong-kyung's desire to end the world. In exchange, Dong-kyung and Myul Mang enter into a contract for 100 days, during which she risks everything she has ever known, including her life, to bring about the end of all things. However, what starts as a desire for oblivion soon evolves into a complex and poignant journey as Dong-kyung begins to discover unexpected feelings of love, connection, and meaning in the time she has left.
